Title : How do you think about the party name "World Party." Name : Suzuki Date : 98/6/06 01:24:44 * Dear Friends, Recently, I have exchanged following mails with Mr. Blasum Holger. He has a home page Yours sincerely, ********************************************************** Dear Toshio, I was out for a while, so apologize for my late reply. First let me emphasize that we really have much in common, so do please not be offended by the following two suggestions: Suggestion 1 Rename "World Party": There is no (big) "Japan Party" in Japan, nor a "US Party" in the US, nor a "China Party" in China , nor a "German Party" in my country. The only major country where an National Party rules at the moment is the Bharata Janata Dal (Indian People's Party) in India, and it is currently not giving a very amiable impression upon most of the world. But while nationalism is still understandable in current contexts, "globalism" as sole politcal attribute sounds absurd in the long run. So how about renaming to something more precise such as "World Liberal Party" or "World Centrist Party" or "World Neoliberal Party" etc. Suggestion 2 When you have set up some economic or societal goals, please mail me your party program and I'll try to fit that into the SGML DTD (please excuse my fancy with SGML, it is NOT a religion for me, but just a useful tool for structuring information, and what I think all this World Government incentives / parties badly need is structured information to make them comparable.) Finally a question: you have more experience in this field than I, do you recommend other forums similar to the World Grassroot Mailing list where one could discuss the idea of competing global parties ? Kind regards, Holger Blasum >>> Toshio-Suzuki ********************************************************** WORLD GOVERNMENT INSTITUTE Dear Mr. Holger, Thank you for a reply. I considered your suggestions. History of the World Party is very short because it was founded in February 1998. So the name should be modified to precise and impressive one. I think names like "World Citizen Party," World Federalist Party" etc. But there is no name which everyone likes. And there are many short names, like Green Party, Democratic Party, Republic Party from which we cannot know their policy. As for me, I like short name. Anyway, I forward your suggestions to the mailing list and forum of my site. Some people will read your suggestions. If many people suggest to rename the party name, I will change it.
